Hosted by the town of Georgetown. Come get to know us and see what we’re about while we celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday!

We will have fun games, prizes and intros to upcoming events!

We will be located between on Rose street between 6th and 7th.

The great beer relay

September 19th • 12pm-6pm

The Great Beer Relay is a competitive bracketed event where teams of 4 slide mugs of beer down a highly waxed table.

This event was introduced to Georgetown 3 years ago by the Maes’ and we are delighted to bring it back.

Themed, costumed teams are encouraged. Registration is $55/pp and includes beer for relay, commemorative mugs, and a hydration station with snacks.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded.

This event will take place on September 19th at Cabin Creek Brewing during their annual Oktoberfest weekend and we thank them for being a platinum sponsor of this event.

alpine festival

& SMORES ON 6TH

OCTOBER 10TH • 10AM-4PM

The Alpine Festival formerly known as Fire & Ice Chili Cook off is a Celebration with Lasting Benefits for Georgetown. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, downtown Georgetown will transform into a lively, walkable hub for the first-ever Alpine Festival, joining forces with the town’s beloved Fire & Ice Chili Cookoff.

Timed perfectly for the peak of Colorado’s fall foliage season, the event will draw visitors from across the region while giving them a reason to slow down, explore, and spend time right here in town.

By offering live music by Rob Solomon, vendors, family-friendly games, a beer garden hosted by Cabin Creek Brewing, and the chili cook off in Strousse Park, the festival will turn “leaf peepers” into engaged visitors — The Chili Cook off will donate 100% of its proceeds to the Georgetown Community School, meaning every bowl of chili served will help strengthen local education.

The festival will also foster connections between residents, businesses, and visitors, reinforcing Georgetown’s reputation as a welcoming and vibrant destination.
